The tenants on the Base campus of the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center  



 

The Base The Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center is among Ohio's top five largest concentrations of the aerospace and defense industry. Combined, the employers at The Base employ over 900 people with an annual payroll over $55 million.

The Port Authority enjoys a strong working relationship with its existing tenants, testimony for others to locate at the COATC campus.

The Boeing Company
Boeing-Heath is the largest emplopyer on the COATC campus. The Heath plant is recognized within The Boeing Company as a Strategic Center for defense electronics, guidance, and navigation repair.

Boeing's strategic partners in the BGRC include Atlantic Inertial Systems, Draper, Honeywell, Kearfott, Northrop Grumman, and L3 Communications.

AFMETCAL
AFMETCAL's mission is to develop and sustain precision measurement capabilities ensuring accurate, reliable, and safe air and space systems performance. The 562d Combat Sustaiment Group manages the AFMETCAL program.

Bionetics
Bionetics and its contract partner, Goldbelt Falcon, hold the government contract for metrology and calibration to manage the AFPSL, a model for outsourcing of a government laboratory.

Atlantic Inertial Systems
Atlantic Inertial Systems provides maintenance, overhaul and repair of the inertial guidance systems for missiles. J.F. Lehman & Company acquired the Heath operations of BAE Systems in August 2007, renaming the operation and its sister units in CT, NJ, and the UK.

DCMA Ohio River Valley
The Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) is on-site at the COATC ensuring the Department of Defense contracts are delivered on time and to specifications.

AVI Foodsystems
AVI Foodsystems manages the on-site vending and food service operation known as Flight Line Cafe. Meeting space is also available for corporate events, seminars, training sessions, and large gatherings through AVI. See the Amenities section for more background.

Windstream
Windstream Communications maintains a switch and POP for its digital telecommunications and fiber optic network at The Base with a full-time employee located on site.

Alphalink
Alphalink, a Newark-based provider of internet connection services, signed a lease of facilities in May 2008 on which it deploy a wireless internet product. Antennaes will be installed on the COATC water tower as part of a Central Licking County wireless internet broadband service.

Heath Community Recreation & Fitness Center
The City of Heath operates an on-site recreation center which is convenient for on-Base personnel. See the amenities section for more background.
